Solo podcasts with more than one angle

Most auto-editors cut to whoever is talking. With one person on every camera that does nothing. CastCut has a Solo mode: it rotates between all your angles, cutting in the pauses so the switch never lands mid-word.

How Solo works

  1. Drop in your cameras and audio. Phones, cameras and recorders line up from the sound itself.
  2. Tick Solo next to Make multicam edit. CastCut also suggests it when it sees one person on every camera.
  3. CastCut switches angles every few seconds, in the pauses, and opens the timeline in your editor.

Built for phone setups

Two iPhones, an iPhone and an Android, or a phone plus a camera all work. Clocks that drift and variable frame rate footage from apps like Blackmagic Cam stay in sync to the last minute.

Shorts from a solo episode too

The same moments finder works on solo episodes, with clips in every size you post.

Questions

Can CastCut edit a solo podcast?

Yes. Solo mode cuts between two or more angles of one person, in the pauses, instead of following who talks.

Do I need matching cameras?

No. Mix phones and cameras. CastCut syncs them by sound and corrects clock drift between them.

Does it work with one camera?

Solo mode needs at least two angles. With one camera, CastCut still cleans up silences and filler words and finds shorts.
